with Hannah Pierce

If you’ve ever been confused about correct print set-up or how to get your pages imposed in the correct order–this workshop is for you. If you’ve ever had issues with print quality or color reproduction—this workshop is also for you.

In this one-session crash course led by our director, Hannah, we will lay the groundwork to create healthy files for book printing using Adobe InDesign.

We'll cover proper document set-up (bleeds & pagination), color profile proofing, resolution, layers, formatting automation, and more. This workshop will focus on workflows for digital and offset printing, but knowledge learned in this workshop can be used for other methhods such as Risograph printing. We’ll hold the end of class for individual project questions, so please bring any files that you would like to discuss.

The cost of this workshop is $100. Tuition includes a handout with key points to remember, and a blank INDD template to build new projects from.

Please bring a laptop with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop downloaded before the workshop. We ask that participants have some familiarity with Adobe softwares, but you don’t need to be an expert in any regard.
