Small Editions was founded in 2012 by Corina Reynolds and Kimberly McClure after they completed their MFAs at Cranbrook Academy of Art. The pair sought to bring book arts into the realm of contemporary art, while finding a sustainable way to fund a publishing and exhibition practice.

In 2019, Small Editions was taken over by Hannah Yukiko Pierce. Drawing from a background in design strategy, arts programming, and independent publishing, her approach to client work is collaborative, with an emphasis on education about the production and distribution process. With the publishing arm, Pierce aims to co-create platforms for early career artists through experimental publishing projects.

Located outside of the Brooklyn Navy Yard in occupied Lenapehoking (Brooklyn, New York), Small Editions offers services in book and print design, bookbinding, fine printing, and box making. We also run an independent publishing imprint, where we collaborate with artists
on several projects annually.
